It is a crisp and very cold (-5C when I let the hens out) morning here in Stroud. The views up the Slad Valley and down over the Severn to Wales are just fantastic with the snow helping to deliniate the distances.

I'm not sure how well todays photograph will work on-line as it's such a wide panorama but it's got to be worth a try - I've had to upload quite a high def version as the detail is so small - if you click on it you see the whole thing but it doesn't display too well. I am looking forward to getting a canvas made of it though.

Like most people in the UK I spent much of the day in the snow, either clearing it from the drive, the neighbours drives, playing in it, walking in it or photographing it. Here's one I took this evening of All Saints Church at dusk.

Twelfth night

OK so I have no idea if taking down the Christmas decorations includes no more posting pictures of them on your blog but better safe than sorry so this will be the last (and first) decorations photograph for this Christmas.

Ok so every weekday perhaps . . .

Yes my resolution to publish every day has already changed to every weekday, just because weekends tend to be really, really busy so finding the time to log on proved impossible.

Anyway here is today's offering, a heavy frost on chicken wire.

Moon over Whiteshill

Happy New Year !

Well the resolution to take more pictures and post online is going well.

I was up early to let out the hens and had this view of the moon setting over Whiteshill, so I went back to the house to get my camera.

Man it's cold !

Yesterday we went to Slimbridge and of course I took a few photographs. I rather like the light on this one, makes it a bit less of "another swans at Slimbridge" image, although I ended up with more than a few of those too.

New year resolution

Yes many resolutions ready for the new year, one is to start blogging regularly and posting frequent (possibly even daily) photographs. Not just to show everyone my work but also as an incentive to make time for taking more pictures for pleasure rather than profit.
On that side of things work has been going really well. I have been really busy and this has shown up some failings in my workflow which I will be addressing in 2010. I'm currently putting together a business plan and deciding on offerings for next year so watch this space for more news soon.
